‘Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God’ is a documentary about one of the strangest cults I have ever heard about. To see it played out on screen is like a train wreck, you know it's not pleasant or good to look at, but you can't look away. It's actually a sad story, considering that the center of this documentary, Amy Carlson, really was a beautiful young lady who seemed to be heading places in her young adult life when something - which cannot be explained - happened, and she just up and left a dinner party with her family, only to disappear and never show up again until she began live-streaming on channels as ‘Mother God.’ It's a strange, mostly drug and alcohol riddled life, that she lived out for many years after leaving her family, and it didn't end on a good note. Very strange group indeed, considering that some of her followers have continued on with their odd beliefs.
