I had to miss a movie outing recently with some movie buddies who went to see “Godzilla: King of the Monsters”. But it might have been a good thing based on the reviews, lol! Thanks to Doug Tobey and Jim Blanchette for the great feedback.
Per Doug - ‘Godzilla was disappointing. Too many really ridiculous things happened.’
Per Jim - ‘Yes..not very well done... terrible plot. The computer generated graphics and fight scenes were very good, just overly done plus the stupidity of the characters who mostly just watched, with open mouths, the monsters fighting around them instead of running away. Most were thankfully "squished" in the monster stampede!!! The first movie in 2014 was much better. I thought the attack of "General" Godzilla leading his US Air Force and Navy jets against the Hydra-Dragon was ridiculously hilarious! Since you're not seeing it... the plot is simple... its basically the Superman 1 movie plot (Godzilla is the mis-understood hero) and the Hydra is Lex-Luthor (out to destroy mankind and remake the world to his liking).’
This one I will definitely avoid!
