If you are looking for a great kid-friendly animated film, definitely check out 'Cars 3.' As with any Pixar made films, the animation is excellent and in fact, at one point I was wondering if a certain scene was real life, that is how good it is.
The storyline is great - Lightning McQueen has some new competition and while anxious to keep racing and training to prove himself in the racing world, he begins to reflect on his beginnings as a race car, his previous mentor and what his future holds.
Of course you could not have a 'Cars' movie without 'Mater' and some other regulars from the previous films. There was also an introduction of some other new characters as well, including a new racing friend/companion that will probably lead to future films. This was a good film that taught some life lessons while keeping you entertained. The kids in the theater with us came out saying 'Awesome' and 'Cool.' That is definitely a good sign for a movie made primarily for kids.
