Netflix has confirmed that network favorite Narcos will return with an all-new season on the first day of September. Since the focus of the series, Pablo Escobar was killed on the finale of the show's second season, this time around the series will focus on the Cali drug cartel, led by Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela and his brother Miguel. The remnants of Escobar's Medellin cartel were promptly absorbed by his greatest rivals -- the Cali organization -- upon his death.
There's good news and bad news for fans of the show's "good guys". The good news is that DEA agent Javier Pena will be back to take on the Rodriguez Orejuelas. The bad news is that Agent Murphy's time in Colombia is over -- since the real-life Murphy left the country in 1994.
