Want to see a good, pretty scary summertime popcorn flick? Then you need to check out "47 Meters Down." This is actually a fairly good shark movie - granted, definitely not any serious competition to the classic granddaddy of them all, "Jaws" - with some decent scares.
The acting is not bad and the premise is pretty believable. Two sisters embark on a fun-filled trip to the tropics to get away and end up meeting two gents who introduce them to shark diving in cages. Of the sisters, one is very adventurous and free-spirited while the other is more serious and conservative and does not want to do the dive. Needless to say the other sister talks her into it and they go on the excursion. Of course all does not go well as on their turn the wench that is holding the cage snaps and they go plummeting to the bottom of the sea - 47 meters down - and they have to wait to be rescued, all the while facing sharks in the water.

It ends in a way I did not see coming so I was pleasantly surprised by that. A blockbuster? No, I don't see that happening but it is still a good flick for a few jumps and scares.
